The addition of electrical assistance puts adds some considerable demands to the bike’s componentry, especially on the drivetrain. The Classic hub line handles the additional torque and stresses applied by the motor with ease.
With the exception of Ultra SS BMX hub, the Classic rear hub has the strongest sprag clutch mechanism available in the Onyx Racing Products lineup, making it an undisputed choice for transferring all the power from the motor and riders legs to the rear wheel. No uphill is too steep, and no downhill is too long for the Classic hub.
If you are looking to save some weight, feel free to mix and match Vesper and Classic hubs so that the former is run in the front, and latter in the rear where the ultimate durability is asked for.
