Description
A kit to convert Onyx Ultra ISO 110x10mm Bolt-on hub into a 110x15mm Thru-axle model. Components included:
- 15mm inner axle.
- End cap, 15mm, right.
- End cap, 15mm, left.
- 17mm Bearing lockring for preload adjustment.
- Replacement driver bearing, 17287.
- Color of the parts (endcaps, bearing lockring) is anodized black.
15mm thru-bolts are sold separately. Purchase one in the desired length from the link below.
Installation Process
See the video below for instructions in performing the conversion.
Additional Notes
- The freehub driver body needs to be replaced with the supplied 17287 bearing to make the conversion complete. The task is not particularly complex, but requires proper tools to complete it as intended.
- As opposed the bolt-on axle assemblies, the bearing preload is adjusted while the rear axle is torqued to specification. This is instructed in the video link above.
