Description
A BMX race wheelset that’s ready to tackle gate starts and fast laps on the highest levels!
- Built around Ultra SS Disc ISO OX BMX disc hubs, 36H spoke hole count on both ends.
- 100x20mm axle in the front, Helix-style hub shell with diagonal cut-outs. If you’re in a need of a 100x10mm bolt-on front hub, please get in touch by email.
- Three rear hub axles to choose from: 110x10mm bolt-on, 110×15 mm thru-bolt or 110x20mm thru-bolt.
- 15mm and 20mm thru-bolts are sold separately.
- ISO 6-bolt disc mount in the rear, and Onyx Ultra SS cog interface. The Ultra SS and Ultra SSD hubs are not compatible with cogs equipped with the Shimano HG interface.
- Two hub shell color choices: anodized black or anodized matte black.
Rims
The wheels employ Onyx’s own Pro 20″ carbon rims with the following specification.
- 20″ diameter, 406 ETRTO sizing.
- 21mm inner width.
- Can be run with rim brakes with special brake pads designed for carbon rims.
- Front and rear specific models. The rear rim is dimensioned with a 3mm spoke offset to enable even spoke tension on both sides.
- Tubeless-compatible. Two rounds of tubeless tape is recommended.
- Multiple decal color options. Please specify the color wished on note section when placing the order.
Spokes and Nipples
Wheels are built with double-butted high-quality steels spokes using brass nipples to achieve the highest strength, and reliability.
Spokes lengths are chosen to achieve the maximum amount of thread in order to create the strongest wheel possible.
Build
By default, wheels are built with 3-cross lacing pattern. All the wheels are built by hand, carefully tensioned and stress-relieved thoroughly in order to create wheels that provide maximum strength and minimal service needs.
Lead Time
Lead time for wheels is 3-4 working days before shipping from the time of the order.
