Wheels for the Toughest Riding
The Convergence Deal rims are the pinnacle of downhill carbon rim technology with matching looks. When combined with the Onyx Classic ¨Super Boost ISO hubs, they create a wheelset that leaves nothing to be desired.
Hubs
The wheels are built around Onyx Racing Classic hubs are the tried and true choice that keeps on humming smoothly even after years of heavy use. Large high-quality bearings in combination with the patented sprag clutch mechanism provide class-leading ride characteristics, and trustworthy reliability.
An indication of Classic MFU hubs ability is that theyre are rated for EMTB’s with mid-motors of up to 1.5kW peak power output.
Hub specs are as follows:
- Classic MFU Super Boost ISO hubs.
- Centerlock hub models are available on a special request. Get in touch by email for more information.
- Solid front hub shell (as opposed to the Helix model with cut-away shell).
- Boost sizing with multiple front axle options:
- Front axle options: 110x15mm Boost, 110x15mm Torque Cap, or 110x20mm Boost. Choose the axle model from the drop down menu to suit your needs.
- Rear hub axle options: 157x12mm Super Boost.
- ISO 6-bolt disc rotor mounts.
- 32H shells.
- Freewheel driver options: Shimano HG (aluminium or chromoly), XDR (aluminium or chromoly), or Micro Spline. If you want to learn more about drivers and material choices, please refer to the article linked below.

Rims
Wheels are built around WeAreOne Convergence Deal rims in 29″ size. Rim specifications are as follows:
- 29″ diameter, 30mm inner width
- 32H spoke hole count.
- Symmetrical rim profile.
- Designed for downhill, enduro, and EMTB riding as well as similar use-cases.

Spokes and Nipples
Wheels are built with Sapim Race spokes with 2.0/1.8/2.0mm profile. The Race spokes are the default spoke model for several reasons.
- Excellent value.
- High strength-to-weight ratio.
- Better fatigue-resistance properties than straight gauge 2.0mm spokes.
- Easy to source in case spares are needed.
Race spokes are paired with black-coloured Sapim Polyax brass nipples (standard or Double Square version). Brass nipples are used almost exclusively in all of our builds because of their longevity, low to zero maintenance needs, corrosion resistance and strength. Secure-Lock nipples or traditional ones with a mild adhesive compound to prevent unwanted loosening, improve wheel reliability, and lessen service needs.
Build
By default, wheels are built with 3-cross lacing unless otherwise agreed upon. All the wheels are built by hand, carefully tensioned and stress-relieved thoroughly in order to create wheels that provide maximum strength and minimal service needs.
Lead Time
All wheels ship within 3-5 working days from the time of the order.
