When it comes to wheels designed for gravel riding, they do not come about any sweeter than this! Onyx Vesper Hook Flange Centerlock hubs combined with German-made Lilienthal rims, and built with Berd PolyLight spokes create the ultimate grave wheelset.

Hubs

The wheels are built around Onyx Racing Vesper hubs that are the premiere option for gravel, and road riding.  Superb strength-to-weight ratio, large high-quality bearings in combination with the patented sprag clutch mechanism provide class-leading ride characteristics, and trustworthy reliability.

The silent operation and instant engagement are standard features in all Onyx Racing Products hubs.

Hub specs are as follows:

  • Vesper Hook Flange Centerlock model.
  • MTB sizing – 100x12mm front / 142x12mm rear – thru-axle mounting.
  • Centerlock disc rotor mounts. It is recommended to use externally splined centerlock lockrings to ensure compatibility.
  • 24H spoke hole count in the front, 28H spoke hole count in the rear.
  • Candy purple. shell color, paired with anodized gold endcaps/widgets.

Rims

Wheels are built around the Lilienthal GX gravel rims. The rim specifications are as follows:

  • 700C diameter, 390g/rim.
  • 35mm height, 31mm outer width, 25mm inner width.
  • Hookless rim profile
  • Made in Germany from high-quality carbon fiber.
  • 24, and 28H spoke hole counts.
  • Recommended tire width: 28-55mm.

Spokes and Nipples

Wheels are built with the most sought-after, and highly regarded Berd PolyLight spokes according to manufacturer’s specification. The main properties of the PolyLight spokes are the following:

  • Supreme strength-to-weight ratio.
  • Very lightweight, around 2.5g/spoke.
  • Vibration damping properties.
  • Enchanced ride comfort.

Build

The wheels are built accroding to Onyx’s and Berd’s specs, including the lacing, and stress-relieving process.

Wheels are supplied with tubeless tape applied.
