A set of premium-grade gravel wheels with the most utmost value, and ride characteristics that are unparelleled.
The robustness of the Classic hubs make these ideal for bikepacking purposes as well.
Hubs
The wheels are built around Onyx Racing Classic CL hubs. The atented sprag clutch mechanism offer silent action, instant engagement, and minimal drag!
Hub specs are as follows:
- Classic CL model, anodized black color..
- Standard road/gravel sizing – 100x12mm / 142x12mm.
- Centerlock disc rotor mounts.
- 28H spoke hole counts.
- Freewheel driver options: Shimano HG (aluminium or chromoly), XDR (aluminium or chromoly), Micro Spline or Campagnolo N3W.
Rims
Wheels are built around WP 700C carbon gravels rims. The rim specifications are as follows:
- 700C diameter.
- 26mm inner width, 32mm outer width, 36mm height.
- Weight: approx. 400g/rim.
- Offset profile for more even spoke tension balance.
Spokes and Nipples
Wheels are built with Sapim Race spokes with 2.0/1.8/2.0mm profile. The Race spokes are the default spoke option for all builds several reasons.
- Excellent value.
- Very high strength-to-weight ratio.
- Easy to source in case spares are needed.
The Race spokes are paired with black-coloured Sapim Polyax brass nipples (standard or Double Square version). Brass nipples are used almost exclusively in all of our builds because of their longevity, low to zero maintenance needs, corrosion resistance and strength. Secure-Lock nipples or traditional ones with a mild adhesive compound to prevent unwanted loosening, improve wheel reliability, and lessen service needs.

Build
Wheels are built by hand with 3-cross lacing pattern, and carefully stress-relieved during the process. The outcome is a strong, and highly reliable wheel which will perform for seasons to come as expected.
