Fast & Silent!
Vesper CL hubs paired with deep(ish) carbon rims make a set of wheels that are fast, and leave nothing to be desired.
Hubs
The wheels are built around Onyx Racing Vesper CL hubs. Patented sprag clutch mechanism offer silent action, instant engagement, and minimal drag! Additional style points are up for grabs, thanks to the anodized red color.
Hub specs are as follows:
- Vesper model, anodized red color..
- Standard road/gravel sizing – 100x12mm / 142x12mm.
- Centerlock disc rotor mounts.
- 24H spoke hole counts.
- Freewheel driver options: Shimano HG (aluminium), XDR, Micro Spline or Campagnolo N3W.
Rims
Wheels are built around WP 700C carbon road rims. The rim specifications are as follows:
- 700C diameter.
- 45mm height, 28mm outer width and 21mm inner width.
- Weight: approx. 400g/rim.
Spokes and Nipples
Wheels are built with Sapim D-Light spokes with 2.0/1.6/2.0mm profile. The D-Light spokes are the default spoke option for lightweight builds several reasons.
- Excellent value.
- Very high strength-to-weight ratio.
- Easy to source in case spares are needed.
D-Light spokes are paired with black-coloured Sapim Polyax brass nipples (standard or Double Square version). Brass nipples are used almost exclusively in all of our builds because of their longevity, low to zero maintenance needs, corrosion resistance and strength. Secure-Lock nipples or traditional ones with a mild adhesive compound to prevent unwanted loosening, improve wheel reliability, and lessen service needs.

Build
All 24H wheels are built with 2-cross lacing. All our wheels are built by hand, carefully tensioned and stress-relieved thoroughly in order to create wheels that provide maximum strength and minimal service needs.
